SUBJECT: COMPLAINT REGARDING THE WHEEL OR HANDLE THROWING PROBLEM AND SERVICE CENTER RESPONSE

My name is Ram Mohan (Customer code - CU04048) and I bought a HONDA Unicorn (CBF150P - 2007 model Reg no - AP29R 9627) from Fortune Motors Pvt Ltd (Dealer code - AP010001) Opp. National Institute Of Nutrition Labs, Near Flyover, Main Road, Tarnaka, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh) on 14th Feb. The bike was really lovely, until I found out this dangerous defect. It took off the mood for a ride and created panic in myself. The defect is called 'Wheel or Handle Throwing'. The front wheel or bike handle suddenly moves to a side creating problems. The bike handle always seems to look like it is turned to its right. I say this as dangerous because this made my drive very uneasy and uncontrolled sometimes on the road that i hit other vehicles on the road sometimes. Also my right elbow gets a good pain when i try to control the sudden wheel moves and handle turn.

Unfortunately i freqently observed this change and identified this as a potential problem and wanted to get resolved during my bike service. I used to give the vehicle to the same place for servicing it. Everytime i give the vehicle with the problems explained to the service author, i was charged (amount of almost 400 more or less each time). I take back my vehicle and finds that the problem is fixed. This works fine for 1 week maximum and the problem comes back. Iam a 6 day working employee and finds no much time except sunday for my complaint (Showroom is closed on sunday). So i wait for next service and the same thing repeats. I was vexed with the problem and with a strong voice asked the service author to call me when the bike is in examination and i stressed on the complaint sheet with the repeated problem. I got a response in the form of a call from a techincal person named Shiva who asked me to tell what is the exact problem. With my experience i could spend my time and explained him in detail about the problem or symptom and he said he will examine the bike in all possible ways with the help of my experience notes. Finally he could identify the problem and said he will fix it. With a confident job he assured me that this will never come again. I really felt happy with the response and the fix. Waited more than 10 days and could not experience any problem. On 22nd day the same problem came to me again.

This time now i deceided to change the service point to Castrol BikeZone. But later i thought authourised Honda showroom and service centres owns expert mechanics in their own products so dropped with my decision.

Now day before yesterday (saturday) When i visited the showroom for servicing my bike, As usually i explained about my repeated complaint about the wheel and handle behaviour. I Asked them to contact me while the bike is under examination. I also mentioned the name of shiva who know the problem during my earlier service. I got a call from Shiva and was told that he was on leave. He remembered my problem and said this will be fixed if he tells their men during bike examination. I was happy and was anticipating for a better outcome.

Also along with the regular problem, i raised one more problem 'Self start not working on 1st gear'. When i came back in the evening to take my bike back, I was shocked/annoyed with the service.

1. The main problem of wheel or handle was not fixed or seems even not looked at.

2. The self start problem was untouched.

3. Additional problems - Horn not working which was working earlier.

4. The 2-wired connectable pin (available at the left side part of handle beside dipper button) was not attached to its point. This was earlier not attached too. So careless.

5. The engine is requiring a steady acceleration to maintain its ON state after start.

6. The invoice showed as KICK instead of SELF for Type.

So i deceided to take this issue to you and branch Manager's notice for immediate action. Kindly look into this problem and save my life, health and wealth. Please let me know if you need any further details or information in this regard.
