Blatant Lies From HOT SPOTS MOBILE SHOP – Aundh,
On the 20th of this month I visited the ‘HOTSPOTS’, the mobile retail outlet of the B.K MODI Group located at Aundh at D.P Road. Near Bank of Maharashtra.
I purchased a Motorola ZN5 mobile handset on the same day, but to my surprise the very next day the new mobile handset would restart after taking 3 to 4 photos.
I took the handset back to HOTSPOTS on Sunday 21st. The Store in charge Mr Zohaib checked the phone himself to find the same problem. He clearly mentioned that the company policy is that if any mobile purchased from HOTSPOTS is brought back the next day due to technical fault would be replaced by a new handset. He then offered me to pay back the amount of Rs 11800, the cost of the handset. I insisted on getting a new handset which was then given to me on the 27th of this month.
To my surprise on checking this new handset, it again gave the same problem which I faced previously. I took back the handset to HOT SPOTS on Sunday the 28th. On this occasion Mr Zohaib even after inspecting and agreeing upon the problem on this new handset refused to exchange the phone or refund the money back on the excuse of it not being a company policy, even though on contrary he had offered a refund previously. I even agreed to buy any other cell phone of the same value from his store.
On my repeated perusal and on reminding the previously explained exchanged policy of HOT SPOTS on defective handset, Mr Zohaib bluntly told that he would ensure personally that the handset would not be exchanged this time at any cost at his end and even if there is any direction from consumer court also.
This is how consumers are taken for a ride in a brand shop owned by Spice retail.
This is how blatant lies are dished out to consumers. I even checked out many articles on the internet having consumer complaints against HOT SPOTS mobile shop. It seems to be a common problem across. I hope to get some headway in this matter through your medium, the voice of a common person!
