Landlord not returning security deposit

Sir,

I am Manas Patra, a software engineer rented a flat in Mumbai, with proper agreement. Now, due to my father's illness I am moving back to Kolkata and given one months notice to the landlord. But the landlord is saying they are going to deduct 2 months rent from my deposit i.e. INR 30, 000- from my deposit of INR 75, 000- since I have stayed only for four months in the flat. The agreement clearly says either party can give a notice of one mont to terminate the agreement. There is no clause that talks about minimu 6 months stay. Please suggest, what to do in this case.
