ASKING OVER AMOUNT OF NEW LPG CONNECTION

I am residing at thandampattu village, chengam taluk, tiruvannamalai district. I have approach the chengam Lakshmi HP Gas company on 19.08.08 for getting new Gas connection. But the above gas company administration demanding me for Rs.4, 000/ for new connection. It is highly illegal. Hence, I request to you sir, please take immediate steps in this matter.
