I have purchased a new I20 Magna, Chasis no. MALBB51BLAM184180E, Eng.no. G4LAAM424202 on 14.06.2010 from M/s Koshala Hyundai, Rourkela. While going through the locking features I have found out to my utter surprise that the front door locking design is faulty. The front doors gets opened from inside by operating the inner handle inwards even when it is in locked position. This was shown to your dealer who expressed their inability to sort out the problem and telling that this is a design feature of the model.

The matter is serious and involves passenger s safety. A company of HYUNDAI s stature should not lack in such safety failure. Infact I have been unable to drive the car as I fear for the unsafe locking arrangement. Imagine the situation when the car is running at a speed of 80-90 km/hr and the doors gets opened due to inadvertent operation of inner handling. This may lead to serious accident and puts the passenger at a risk.

Inview of this I urge you to suggest remedial measures at the earlist to ensure safety of the vehicle.
