I placed a request for conversion of my savings account in ICICI Bank (Dwarkanagar Branch, Visakhapatnam) to a Joint account on 14 Jul 09. The Bank Claims that they process request of joint accounts in four working days. However, in my case it did not even bothered to call and inform the status of request after 10 days. Of my personal interest I submitted request to know the status through Internet. I got information that my signatures do not match. To resolve this issue I again visited Branch office and placed a request for my signature change in bank's records. In spite of visiting branch thrice, my request is still pending with remarks not justifiable.
I am a Naval Officer (Government's Gazetted Officer) who is facing such problems with a Bank which self acclaims itself to be India's No 1/ 2 Bank. I am afraid what it will do with normal customer. This deed of bank needs to be resolved which not only wastes valuable time of people but also creates depression and anxiety. I am presently sandwiched between domestic requirements (caused purely due to bank's negligence) and service exigencies (Paramount in a soldiers life).
