Charges deducted from my saving account

I had issued a post dated cheque of Rs 10000, dated 1st Oct'10. But the cheque was submitted by the beneficiary to his bank on 18th Sep'10.

on account of his mistake cheque bounce charges were deducted from my saving account which is with ICICI, senapati bapad road, Pune Branch.

I tried calling the customer care department on 3rd oct'10 but didnt get any positive response.

How can the bank deduct the money my account for a mistake commited by somebody else.
