Sir,
I, Anju Jain, wife of Shri. Sunil Jain, Secretary, District Congress Committee, Ghaziabad, and, R/o SD-93, Shastri Nagar, Ghaziabad wishes to state that though the Business Partner Code is in my name but, all the official work is discharged by my husband.
When, my husband contacted the call centre, as he wished to access some official information, the call centre refused to entertain and, provide the relevant piece of information on the pretext that they were not authorised as per the policies laid out by the company.
Whereas, earlier this was not the case and, whenever my husband tried to obtain any information from the call centre, there was no difficulty.
When my husband asked the call centre people to provide such guideline in writing, they refused to entertain the request.
I believe, that under the RTI Act, there should be transparency in any guidlelines laid out by any company and that my husband has a legal right to access such information.
The argument they put forth in support of their stance was that my husband as an individual had no relation with me and, therefore was not entitled to access any information.
I ask a moot question: "Is the company legally competent enough to question my relationship with Mr. Sunil Jain as my legally wedded husband "? I can provide the marriage certificate in support of my marriage with Mr. Sunil Jain issued by the Sub-Registrar Office, Ghaziabad.
Further, they said that I needed to authorise my husband, Mr. Sunil Jain, for the purposes of accessing any information he wished to seek from the call centre.
Though this communication is a complaint but, I, hereby declare that I authorise my husband for the purposes of accessing any information from the call centre he wishes to seek on my behalf.
Thanks & Regards.
