Iam Captain Vikrant V Apandkar and i wish to bring
to your notice one of the major malpractice done by IDBI
bank regarding home loan with me.
1) I purchased a flat in Pune (Shivaji Hsg Scty) in
2003 for which i availed loan of 13 lacs from IDBI
bank. They sancioned my loan amount after going
through the required procedure.
2) One of the bank`s correspondant handling my case
informed me that loan amt is sanctioned but we
should not pay builder anything as building plan is not sanctioned and no amount was released.
3) After few months same person Ms Aarti Thatte
informed us that building plan is approved and we
can release the amount as lot of work is done and we
can release full amount so that i dont have to pay pre EMI
and the amt was released accordingly.
4) I started paying my EMI`s regularly, after some
months we were informed that bank is unable to trace our original title deed papers and they asked us
do we have a copy of it. We informed them that the original is with them as per the loan agreement rules but
we can arrange a duplicate copy from registrar office so
that they can locate our documents.
5) Now in between this we came to know that our
building plan is not sanctioned till date so we
asked the bank how they have released the amount but
they dont have any answer and they say its my duty to check
this, then i showwed them the loan agreement
clause that they are charging me 1 % processing fee so that there lawyer can check the legalty of all documents.
Now they have lost my original documents and are not replying to me.
Similar case had occured in Delhi and it was a multinational bank and the person was duely compensated.
