Service problem

I had purchased an IFB DIGITAL EX from VIVEKS Limited on 01/01/06. Since then I had been having many problems with the machine. The display used to show errors E06. The technician said the problem was due to clogging, but there was no clogging but he cleaned the PCB.

On 28th Dec we lodged a complaint regarding malfunction due to the E06/04 errors. The technician found the stone holding the drum was cracked. It took about 15 days to get this replaced.

On 29th May the same problem occured. The technician took 15 days to visit, removed the PCB and it started working againg.

These issues prove that the machine had problems right from installation.

Most recently, I had registered a complaint on 08/09/08 - complaint no.2159893 on the same problem. After repeated calls the complaint is still to be attended. Also, every time I call to follow up my complaint, I am asked to explain my complaint to every other person who attends the call.

Now that the warranty is over, the company is forcing us to enter into 2 year AMC. I am not agreeable to this proposal since the same problem was intermittant even during warranty.

The explanation from IFB personnel that the PCB failure is due to voltage fluctuation is not correct since I have more sensitive and expensive electronic goods in our house which have not given any failure.

Now, I am physically and mentally exhausted all because of the problems created by my IFB washing machine. And I must mention that I had been using IFB washing machine since 1992. I exchanged my IFB machine only to upgrade myself with the latest machine. But I am terribly disappointed with this machine as well as your service. I strongly feel the machine is a faulty one which was delivered to me as a new machine.

I don't want any further service of this machine but a replacement of the machine is the only solution for all the agony that I have gone thru the past 2 years. My next course of action would be to approach the leading national dailies and the Consumer Court of India.
