The machine was purchased in Jan from Abhirami, your dealers at TTK Road, Chennai

Right from the time we purchased, intermittently the machine gives a loud noise with the machine vibrating and getting displaced from its position.

The complaint has been attended few times by the technicians, but yet to be resolved.

Around beginning of July 09, one technician by name Kannan was deputed for servicing the machine. He fixed a sping to the inside of the machine, saying that it was missing. In fact I was wondering how can a spring be missed out in a new machine, which then amounts to manufacturing defect. When i wanted to clarify, he didn't have any answer. I commented on the service card that "if the problem is not rectified the machine must be replaced". To this the technician said he didn't relish my having commented like this and he wouldn't have serviced had he known I was going to react like this

After this service was done, two new problems appeared in addition to the existing problem:

a. Sometimes the machine doesn't take water and runs the whole cycle

b. Sometimes the machine doesn't go into "spin-dry" mode before the end of the cycle and the clothes are left soaked in water

After this i lodged a complaint vide tkt no. 3310217 dtd 28th July 09. They promised to attend to it by 29th July evening. On 29th evening, a technician by name Thiagu called and said he was getting late and hence would come by 30th July. Nobody turned up however till 5th August.

On 5th August, the technician who attended, said he needs to take the machine to the service center and take the machine for observation and promised to get back by 6th August. This hasn't happened yet

After seeing several brands of wahing machine, I narrowed down on IFB and thought the product should be of high quality and the service should very good. From the experience we have had so far, this has not turned out to be true. While warranty period is presumably lapsing, we have a machine which is defective and puts us to lot of inconvenience. Many times I have to stay put at home only to ensure presence when the technician comes but of no avail at the end

I seek remedy to resolve this issue urgently by way of the following course of action:

a. Replace the machine with a new machine and start the warranty from the date of commissioning this machine

b. If the machine can't be replaced, refund the money with interest charges as applicable to loans taken from commercial banks

I am sure you will not want a dissatisfied customer which certainly does not do good to a company of your repute

Looking for urgent resolution of the problem on the above lines
