Passport returned to passport office

Dear Sir,

i have applied for the passport in Feb and application number is B714007806.

due to late enquiry my passport got delayed, since i have finished my coaurce in IIT Madras.

passport came after that in hostel but returned to passport office.

i have joiend TATA Motors pune in July itself.

i have revisited Chennai passport office in Dec. but PRO was saying that you can not

get your passport on indentity as driving licence. since then i am not able to find any way to

get my passport back.

kindly suggest my remedy how to get my passport back.
