Lot of big and old trees were cut down in protected forest area on the back side of the D.D.A parking lot in hauz khas village for the political motive to create some recreational area like to build community centre or play ground With the help of Horticulture and other D.D.A staff on last to last Sunday on 17th august’2008 a professional cutting machine was arranged by the area counselor and hundred of trees were cut, lots of them are taken away and lots of them are still lying there. When this disasterable incident was happening at the site we informed the D.D.A officers and local Police but no action had been taken so far. we have repeated complaint at the PCR No. 100, the police people have visited the area also but i think every time the concerned person bribes the police department that is why nothing as happened till now. Lat sunday dated 14th of september, there were more people called to remove all the evidences as in to remove all the cut trees which are lying there. all the cut down trees will be removed from there & no proof will be available to take any action.
Chances are there that they may further cut down more trees and destroy the protected forest area that is “the Life line and oxygen zone for delhi people”.
