Consumer No:22760; Cooking Gas Agency, 3A, Malavia Ave, Chennai 600041.When we brought in a cylinder for use, we found there was a hissing noise. Gas smell was noticed. Complained to the gas agency at about 9 a.m. Service man came at 5-15 p.m. He changed the rubber washer at the cylinder neck. Leak continued He changed another and another five times! He failed. Thereafter he removed the ring (washer) from the used cylinder and fixed it along with one more washer The regulator is more than 30 years old and seems rickety. Since the system could not be brought into service even by changing the washer with 5 new ones, I feel the problem may recur.

2. I have paid a deposit for the regulator as well as the cylinder. The maintenance of these is the responsibility of the gas agency; but I have been charged Rs 40/- for this. This is unfair. I request you to instruct the agency to refund the amount.
