Their Tel. Nos. are : (044) 22394261, 22394171, 22397537. Proprietrix of the Agency: Mrs. Rajalakshmi Natarajan.
I had booked for Gas Cylinder (Residential) on 7 Nov.09. When registered, the staff gave me the reference No. of Booking as :3658/7 Nov.09. When enquired the lady said that the cylinder would come in 10 days. On completion of the said period, when enquired, another staff said over phone, that it would come in 5 days (further); Again when I enquired about the cylinder, the staff (another) said that the cylinder was being delivered in my area. But it did not come on 22 Nov.09. On seeing the delivery vehicle near my area, when I enquired the staff about my cylinder, he at first, said that he did not have my slip, but when I insisted, he checked the list of coupons (Delivered/To be delivered), I found mine in that lot. About delivery, he said that it would be delivered on24 Morning atbout 10 AM.
The delivery of cylinder took place at least at 1555 hrs. on 24 Nov.09.
To day (25 Nov 09 at about 1400 hrs. or so, when I met the Proprietrix of Shella Agency, as to why the delivery took place after 18 days, instead of what they said earlier, she denied that her staff said about 10/15 days time in which the delivery would take place.
When I wanted to book for a fresh cylinder then and thereitself, she said that I would be able to register only on 15 Dec.09. When I mentioned the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, has informed the Public on TV Channel, Live, that IOC has issued a letter to the effect, that any agency who provides the ser vice, should not insist on 21 days time for new booking.
The Lady then asked me to provide a copy of your letter (!),
It is now left to your Company, whether I should get a copy of the letter in question, under RTI Act, or whether she is right in asking a customer to give her Bread-Provider-Company's letter instead of getting it from the Company (IOC), Whether her case would stand in a Court of Law??!
