Distributor reluctant to address complaint promtly

We are the consumer of Indane Cooking Gas registered in the name of my mother Mrs. Tapati Sirkar, a senior citizen residing in Kolkata. The consumer no. is SE1964. The Distributor's name is M/s. Shreeji Enterprises, 81/A, S.P. Mukherjee Road, Kolkata 700026.

Today (06/07/09) morning my mother noticed that the the burner flame could not be put off by closing the cylinder valve i.e.by closing the regulator. The burner knob was working properly but not the regulator. She informed my wife, who immediately called up the Emergency Service Cell at 24458113 at 10.05 AM. The concerned person at the other end of the phone was reluctant to listen to the complaint and asked my wife to call the Distributor. She then informed the distributor at around 10.20 at 24640711 and booked the complaint. The Distributor said that they will send the mechanic to check the same at around 4.00 pm.

My mother had to stop cooking and ordered food from outside. Ultimately nobody turned up to address the complaint.

Seeking immediate action from the authority regarding this issue. Also, request the Consumer Forum to note the complaint.
