Non-Receipt of Income Tax Refund for AY-08

I have submitted my income tax return for the AY - 08 before 31st July08 in INDORE.

I had claimed Rs 8000/- from Income Tax Dept. as refund. But till date I have not received the cheque or ECS from the dept. I have visited the department many times but every time they say that my file is under process.

Kindly help me in this matter.
