Complaint in Brief: I am drawing family pension from Indian Overseas Bank located at Station Square Bhubaneswar, and been deprived of grant of fixed medical allowance@Rs 100/month inspite of government instructions and recomendation of 5 th Central Pay Commission with effect from 1.12.1997 .I have not understood and really suprised when the bank could pay my pension as per recommendation of 5 th pay commission then how and why fixed medical allowance @RS100/was not paid to undersigned. When I Complained to their head office on 08 Dec and 17 Dec located at Chenai now my complaint have been forwarded to Regional Office Bhubaneswar. Some one called me from the bank and he was rude asked me to withdraw the complaint and blamed me that I should have apprised and requested them for the payment. Now they have given me a form to fill up that I have not been paid. I am really suprised when I am drawing pension from their bank is it not their duty to check and accept the mistake that they have comitted. It is nothing but harrashment to a widow and a seneior citizen. Honourable High court of KERALA has given judgement in this issue on 22.11.2002 in favour and asking for complaince. Io b web site says all changes in pension payment, parameters including ears of DA, etc are also to be done centrally and with this timely and accurate payment of pension is assured. If so then who has faulted in this issue and how best now they can take measures that this type of mistake does not occour again. Request for appropriate action at the earliest.
