An Indian Passport owner for the past 20 years, I have applied for a new Passport in Jaunpur office on 14 August. Details of my application are as follows:
File # LKOZ942169/08, DD # 884933 dt. 06/06/08 (Oriental Bank of Commerce).
It has been over 7 months, I have not got my passport issued. On inquiry from Lucknow, I was told that there is no such file taceable with them.
While passport offices claim quick issue/renewal of passports within a month time, this delay is puzzling and raises a big question on their claim.
