Letter from post maste

Hi All,

This is my enquiry rather complain first.

My retired father has NSS with Indian Post. We want the a letter from post master to mention about his savings. But the post masters says he cant issue any of such letters. My simple query here is if postal department has banking services why can't they provide similar services to their customers.
