Indian Railway
Complaint against TTC

This is a complaint regarding not confirming my ticket during my travel on 8-9th Novemver. I bought an electronic ticket from IRCTC (Transction ID 0248260783, PNR No. 6346390865) on 4th September in Gitanjali Express, train no. 2860 to travel on 8th of November from Raigarh (RIG) to Mumbai CST (CSTM). I was travelling with my family total with three members. When I booked the ticket my booking status was RLWL 2, 3 and 4. Two days before journey it became confirmed, confirmed and WL1. The status was same even after the chart was prepared with coach number A2, berth 22 and 23. Now the third passenger on my ticket should have got the first priority for any cancellation during journey or no show. I started requesting the TTC who was in our coach from Raigarh (up to Nagpur). I could see few vacant births including birth number 8 in our coach. The TTC kept telling I have to give preference to RAC passengers, I do not understand how the RAC can come between our first two confirmed passengers and the third passenger with wait list 1. The gentleman was issuing berths to people all the way to Nagpur. Even after Nagpur no subsequent TTCs did anything for us. It was a horrible sleepless journey for the family with so much mental and physical agony.

I want an explanation and punishment of the concerned TTC. I also want not only full refund for the waitlisted passenger in my ticket but also compensation for the trauma the family had to go through.

Thanks very much
