Indian Railways
Fellow passengers' arrogance

I was travelling by train no.3201 from Patna to LTT, Kurla in AC coach A1.In jabalpur a couple came for berth no.31 and 33 on 5th Oct..My berth no. was 32 and 34.It was 1530hrs. I requested them to lift berth and allow me to have seat. The gentleman threatened that he has got the quota seat and has very powerful link in railway. His i card is so important that even TTE would also follow his instruction.

I tried my best to convince that i should be allowed to have seat as per railways rules and regulations.but he didn't agree. I requested TTE Mr. Chahan to intervene. He also tried to persuade but in vain. Finally Mr. Chauhan reqested me to compromise and leave it. I was told by another TTE that his name was Malik.

Though i have travelled and finished the journey. I would like to know what should be done if i encounter such passengers infuture. Is it better for me to forget the incident or some appropriate action should be taken to instill confidence in the mind of passengers.
