Subject: Complaint Regarding the officials at Karur Railway Junction / station Parcel Booking Office Demanding extra amount for booking a bike to Bangalore on 12-12.
I, K.Vijaykumar, Advocate, Residing at No: 2221, A-Block, 12th Main, Rajajinagar 2nd Satge, Bangalore -10, have booked parcel of a Used /Old Bullet Motor cycle Bearing registration No: KA 02 HF : 04 through railways parcel service at Karur railway station to Bangalore on 12th December. vide bill / Receipt bearing No: 345237 for the sum of Rs.546/-
At the time of booking, the officer who was in charge of the booking office refused to take the booking and treated me like Dog with abused language, stating that there is no direct train from Karur To Bangalore, after some argument between me and the booking officer, he was stating that “your bike is more than 150 Kilograms, no one is here to load your bike to the train” hence was not ready to take booking, finally he was demanded extra amount of Rs 200/- for taking the booking, I paid it, then he took the booking (I paid the amount of Rs 546 200 = 746)
Again some one came there (who was wearing Khaki Dress, I don’t Know whether he is appointed by the Southern Railways or not, he was in the drunken state) and demanding / asking for extra Rs 200/- in front of the booking officer it self to send that on the same day. I was looked at the booking officer. The booking officer told that the person came there ((who was wearing Khaki Dress) is the Loader man, Who load the bike to train, and insisted me to pay the same and stating that “if you fail to pay the amount, he may take fifteen days time to load your bike, until it your bike will be laying on the platform without safety for fifteen days. Even at time of loading also they may break your bike accessories”, so better pay them. It clearly shows the collusion of the officer with the Loader men. Finally I paid extra Rs 200/- to Loader man (who was wearing Khaki Dress)
So Totally I have paid
Receipt Amount: Rs- 546
Extra Amount for officer : - 200
Extra Amount for Loader Men - 200
Total amount 946

This kind of corruption in the booking office, reduces the respect on our Esteemed Southern Railway Management, Officials, and Total system.
Kindly take necessary legal action against the Booking Officer and the Drunken Loader Man (worked on 12-12) at Karur Railway Junction / Station Parcel office.
