In an explicit show of high corruption levels and inefficiency of babus at Railways at Delhi station below is what is going at Goods/ Vehicle booking at Indian railways delhi station.
I had to book my Vehicle for rail transport on Delhi Station and only people available there to deal there were Agents who charged Rs.2400 with a Railway receipt of Rs. 1100 without any explanation of difference. There were no Railway officials to be identified and only agents are seen booking Vehicles.
And on any enquiry the answer was to either do the booking or get lost, leaving people at the mercy of agents. There were bills pasted on wall with mobile numbers for warning against agents and on contacting the number (98712190209) the person replied back this is from Punjab and disconnected.
This is a clear case of corruption and malpractice going in connivance with Railway officials.
