Passport not granted why?

This is behalf of my wife.file No w71209508 (Manjula Kota) after police enquiry she asked to submit her married affidavit. That she submitted last month Ie..on 30-9-08.The told her passport will be dispached in a month. But still more than one month is passing she neither got passport nor her status position chenged.

How for we weight to know the reason of delaying pasport.

please kindly entimate in status position about granting passport.
