Reference to the infrastructure conditions of Mira Road, I residing in this area for last 2 years would like to bring to your notice about the following conditions being faced by most of the citizens of Mira road.
1. Auto Rickshaw: This is a common plight which all the resident of Mira road is facing. From Day one I used to see that the Auto rickshaw drivers claim whatever they require for distance of hardly 1--10Km. Mostly fares goes from Rs 20/- to Rs 100/-. There is no proper rate card fixed for the same. So many people have opted to take their own vehicle and drive. But being an engineer and as an only earning employee, I am unable to take the same. So I adjusted with the situation like many of like minded person do. When last month I surfed website dedicate to Mira road residents (www.Mira-road.com), it shows that 1000 tariff card were issued to rickshaw drivers so that proper amount shown on tariff shall be paid. But last week, when I asked Rickshaw drivers, they argued saying it was not official released. And the meter of many rickshaws are not working and was not fixed in many autos... I don’t understand how RTO issue the license to the auto-rickshaw, who does not have proper meter attached to the Auto. I don’t know what is required to officially declare the tariff card in person by the Municipal authorities. Please declare it officially.
2. Road Condition: The Many Road are being repaired or being kept as it is, due to Sewerage line work, which was work started in the 1st month of September, showing that sewerage work was going on. Still the Road work / sewerage work is not completed. The MTNL road was the one to start and still the road is not yet made smooth. I saw few roads which were made, but the Ground level for the same has gone up the Bldg level so that all the Rain water or the sewer-line water get piled up or clogged around the bldg leading to un-numerable disease, which can affect the life. I don’t understand is there no planning department in the municipal authorities. The clogging of sewer water cane is easily accessible along the Silver Park Road along the RNA Broadway Avenue complex, which has been usual sight after the sewer work was started. Also Due to Sewer line work all the buses going to thane, Mahim, Worli-Tardeo have been diverted, because of the same, we residents try catch an auto and go to nearby chowk to catch the buses, whereby the auto try to mint more moneys. Walking is good for health, but the road condition is so worst that it is necessary to catch an auto to go to nearest bus stand to catch the bus. I appeal to the authorities to look in that matter.
3. Bus Services: I appreciate the Bus authorities that they have started bus services to Thane, Mahim and Tardeo, Borivali. I request the authorities to increase the bus frequency to Borivali and start new services along following routes
a. Mira Road to Belapur via Thane, Thane Belapur road, Turbhe, Belapur Fast and A/C buses. With a frequency of 30minutes
b. Mira road to Ghatkopar via Hirananadani Fast buses With a frequency of 15 minutes
c. Mira Road to Borivali (22 No bus route –MBMTC). Via Shanti Park, Vijay Park, Jangid, kashmira, Dahisar and Borivali.
4. Train Services: I do go on some days catch the trains as I know that on Mondays, Thursday, traffic is so much that it takes at least 1-1/2 hour just to reach Andheri from Dahisar. Trains are so horrible, that again we think why we are only the sufferer. I have seen so much rush in the peak hours that Person climbs the windows and run along the roof of the train in spite of announcing that the overhead wires are charged at 25000V. People think that they just want to reach their destination, even if it cost their lives. I think it is not properly planned. I appreciate that they have started the 15coach trains but if observed the same are at an interval of 30minutes and that too not in the peak hour. I think that the ladies train at 9.07am goes half empty going to churchgate. Half of the same can be made general class. And start some trains from Mira road itself during the peak hours, like the one which start from Chembur. If required you can survey the person entering Mira road, it shall not be less than 2000Nos.
Lastly Following the above condition, I request the municipal authorities and other senior authorities, to kindly look into the matter and rectify the same at the earliest. I think that Mira road was very well planned with all the infrastructures road network in good condition. I appeal that the same should be rectified so that common man can go and live peacefully and enjoy the small life, which GOD has given, rather to just make all days horrible.
