Spencer kobren and the bald truth have comprised a list of drs certified for the IAHRS (international alliance of hair restoration surgeons). Amoung other requirements, the surgeons belonging to the group must pay approximately $12, 000 a year to Spencer Kobren or one of his affiliated companies.
This is not disclosed on the website www.iahrs.org.
Federal truth in advertising laws prohibit Spencer from certifying physicians as :
1) he is not a physician
2) the surgeons in his IAHRS and not properly tested
3) the organization is not a recognized member of the AMA board of medical specialities
In addition, failure to disclose the $12, 000 a year paid to Spencer Kobren is a breach of ethics. Is this failure to disclose also a violation of law?
