Dear Sir,
I, the undersigned, just want some information regarding what are the standard tariffs followed for broadband network.
In my locality a broadband provider (i don't know the definition of broadband) is being charging 500 rs per month for 40 kbps of unlimited internet.
He is charging the same from the past 3 years and has neither increased the rates nor the download speed.
Personally i feel 500 Rs is not suitable for just 40 kbps of browsing speed.
so just wanted to know if there is any information available anywhere and if the provider doesn't meet the TRAI requirements what can be done to curb his monopoly.
I live at Dombivli East (Thane) in MIDC area.
Also there are rumors around that this particular provider doesn't allow other providers to come in his locality.
It would be very grateful of you if you tell me what action (if any) can be taken against him so that we have enjoy internet at its standard rate.
