I took my vehicle to M/s ISI Maruti (Maruti Authorised Service station) at No.48 Kilpauk Garden Road, Kilpauk Chennai-600 010 Mass Code-4929 Ph- 26461150/3058055. Service Tax Code-AAACI1623GST001 (details as per the bill invoice).
I am new to Chennai city but since this service station was close to my residence I thought it would be appropriate for me.
The vehicle was (maruti-800) left in the service station for 3 days. There was two major complaints- car taking jump at Ist gear and silencer making rattling sound. Apart from this one parking light replacement and one rear gear light buld change. THERE WAS NO NEED OF ENGINE OLD AND FILTER CHANGE.
But to my surprise the complete cost for servicing came to Rs.2740/-
Details of the bills are: labour cost for paid servicing- Rs.590/-
Labour charges for putting coolent - Rs. 60
Fitting charges for side parking light-Rs.40 (the light of the cost is Rs.90) AND THE LIGHT IS NOT FITTED PROPERLY.
The bulb 9rear gear) charges - Rs.35/ AND THE FILLING CHARGES ARE RS.25/- (HOW BULB IS OF RS.35/ AND FITTING CHARGES -25/???)
Renew of rear wheel cylinders Rs.390/- labour charges - Rs.440/-
I really wonder whether these charges are really worth it or I am being looted???
The bill is hand made and not computer generated.
when I asked to reduce some charges I was told these are Maruti Standard charges and we can reduce any and to this effect many stories were told that Maruti service stations are closing because of high charges etc etc.
To my surprise I found only two people whenever I visited the station and one of them was washerman.
Please verify the genuiness of the service station and also guide us in this regard. So that I can alert my friends.
