I live in a co-operative Housing society in Pune. Some of the society members have carried out Flat Refurbishment works such as removing of wall between living room and kithcen and likewise.
I would like to know whether:
1> Maharashtra Co- Operative Societies Act has any provisions mandating the society member to take prior permission / approval from Society Management Committee before carring out any such work?
2> Should any such work cause Safety concerns to the building, does the Management Committee have rights to stop the work and recover cost of Repair works done for damage control /recovery?
