Etained passport

Dear sir,

i have attend the interview & after getting selected they retained my passport for visa purpose & due to some personnel reason i wont able to join. since then i am mailing them try to contact on phonebut they are not acknowledge my mails.also i am having the recipt in which it is clearly mentioned they are keeping my passport.

the validity of my passport is also going to expire in the month of october.

alredy 2 yrs have been passed but they didn't return my passport.

please help me can i lodge complaint againgst him in consumer court or not.
