I was interested in opening a 3 in one account. The sales guy said based on my employment credentials I am eligible for a free Pro Savings Account along with a trading account and a demat account. First of alll I was not happy in the way he made me fall into his trap. He said that I should first open the SB and Investment account and later link my demat with the SB as by this way I could save processing time. I paid a check of Rs 20750 . I was told that with Rs 20000, the SB account would be opened and 750 were the charges..It took 10 days and later after following up the kit was delivered. I was surprised to find an edge savings account kit (lower version SB account i/o PRo). On asking, the sales guy geve me the slip. I later spoke to the manager and he wanted time! And that too the NMC is applicable for only 1 year While I was told it is for lifetime by the sales guy. Another point was my account was not at all credited on time wheras the bank had deposited well ahead to utilize the float. The customer care and the branch guys are pathetic each one pointing fingers at one another. i even wrote to Kotak cust greivance cell but witout avail..Out of the amount deposited, there is a debit of 10750 towards kjotak securities... I am unable to see the credit in my sdemat account... I am helpless... Have to contact RBI ombudsmn and lodge a complaint against these buggers
