I have received information from the bank regarding defaulting in credit cards of HDFC Bank and my name is listed in the Defaulter List of CIBIL.
But I havent any overdue of Rs 42, 374 on 19/02.
I was unable to get another loan because of credit card reports in CIBIL database which showed problems in the year 2006.
As reported to me by HDFC the above are overdue on my name. We have discussed with HDFC representative and told him that why are you charging this huge amount while we have not used this much amount. I also want to raise the following points.
1. Before settlement, we have not received any bill around 5-6 months.
2. After 5-6 months HDFC representative called us to pay Rs. 42, 374/- are due. During discussion with 2-3 times, they told us to pay Rs 15, 000/- which is actually you have to pay.
3. We paid Rs. 15000/- (which we have actually spent) by cash on 25/08/08 under ref. no. S0268830 & receipt N0. 3377924 and have settled my total due amount in one single payment to them. I am having all the supporting documents for this settlement (settlement letter from bank and the receipt). At that time, we were not aware the actual meaning of Settlement & what will be the effect in future.
4. We have applied for loan and then I came to know about the cibil report. My name is in CIBIL's blacklist as my status mentioned as "Written Off Rs. 42, 374/- which is directly affecting my future. Then I have discussed with HDFC representative, they told me to submit total amount Rs. 42, 374/- (which I have not used) and then it will be removed from cibil.
At present my financial status sounds good but because of this CIBIL report I am not able to avail any loan like car loan, housing loan and even credit cards. Kindly help to resolve my issue and help to re-built my goodwill.
