Hi, my wife and me were coming back from our trip to the u s on the 1st of Aug we had a confirmed ticket and were boarding from JFK to Bangalore and we were in the check in Que and an officer lady came up to us and pleaded with the passengers for any volunteer's who could opt taking the next day flight as they were over booked and were short of seats and had some infants family who had to travel, seeing the plight of them we both volunteered and asked the lady what would we get in return and she was kind enough to offer on behalf of emirate airways a free return trip valid for a year and that night stay at a hotel, so we stepped back and 10 Mt's before the departure she comes back and says we don't need u, imagine our status at that moment people started laughing at us and we were asked to rush as the boarding was on and they started shouting at us as if we were at fault, it is a disgrace that we cannot forget and did not expect from this reputed airlines, i would strongly request that this type of things should not happen to any one and my wife who had a leg problem had to rush and has an ankle ligament tare in the bargain, i would request u to kindly look into this matter and award us suitable compensation.
regards nitesh
