I was recently encouraged by Airtel Agent in Chennai to sign up for "life time" connection without explaining the consequences. I have now discovered to my surprise that both the local and overseas SMS rates extremly higher. Local 99p instead of 33p and overseas Rs4.99 instead of Rs3. I am also told other calling rates are higher. This was not explined to me properly. Airtel should provide proper guidance to their customer via SMS etc. I feel Trai should investigate this matter. I am now told that I cannot come out of this "life time" agreement!!
