After a waiting period of six months I bought maruti Suzuki swift desire vdi colour silver on 06 nov 08. I encountered number of problems after second service.
1. After second service mileage of the car dropped from 18 to 15 to 16. Pickup of the car was lost.
2. Cracks were also observed on the console and I requested the dealer to change it. After 2 months dealer (Jeewan motors, Bhopal) changed it during this event cooling of the air conditioner failed and even the direction of the vents were changed. I repeatedly visited the dealer for the same but they were not ready to listen to the problem. They argued that there is no resemblance between the air conditioner and the console and said that they have not even touched the a/c. after a lot of argument they checked it with the thermometer and agreed that they have attached air conditioner wire and heater wire (mechanic tripathi). Which they corrected.
3. There is cranking sound the in car at fourth gear which was mentioned in the job card thrice but all in vain. The sound can even be heard today the point is that even the maruti Suzuki engineer kishore heard the sound and even he could not identify it.
4. Worst draw back of the car is that it turns off while on turn. Car having power steering & electronic brakes is prone to accident at that time. Again visiting the dealer for more than a month the resisted to listen. The car even turned off in front of the engineer kishore and trial was done by putting s.d.t. the dealer changed sensor of the acceletor but the car stopped time and again and the dealer was not able to understand the same.
5. After one month of the event the dealer agreed that the car may have the problem and they changed the clutch plates. After the procedure there was noise in the bonut. For which I visited the station again which resulted that not only the sound was same, the bonut was tampered and the alignment was disturbed. Also the fiber attachment of the wind screen got disturb.
6. The pickup of the car is low. Trials were done number of times but all in vain. Gear shifting is still a problem and not smooth as was in test drive.
7. Gear shifting is hard, steering is tight the car comes out of the workshop the same way as it goes in.
8. Mileage of the car has dropped a low but dealer refuses.
My point
The car is defective and I am wasting by time, money and energy to rectify it. Above all I am being emotionally tortured for the same being a dentist a have less time even for my family and rest. If not considered appropriately I wish to enter the consumer forum for valid output.
