Maya Academy of Advance (maac) institute misguided and false promised to students permalink

Respected Sir,
I, Sachin S Howal am a student of Maya Academy of Advance
Cinematics, Andheri (W),
i want to file a complaint against the Academy regarding delay in
course duration, no proper
infrastructure as promised, no proper guide & information. The details
of the below complaint are mentioned by me in a letter to the academy,
The instititutes has also refused to accept this letter and have asked
me to do whatever i want, but we will not respond you. I sent this
complaint to registered, non profit, non-political NGO on 25/7/09 and that NGO send the NOTICE to
Maya Academy of Advance Cinematics institute
Some points in that NOTICE are given below.
1. The consumer has already written to you on 20-7 against which you casually told him that he can do whatever he wants but you will run the institute the way it is running now.
2.You have conducted Unfair Trade Practice under Section 2 (1) (r) of
the Consumer Protection Act by misleading the consumer to believe that
you have a good standard and the student will get good placement after
finishing the course while the reality is different from what you
promise.
3.Under such circumstances, we request you to immediately contact the
consumer on his above cell and refund him the full fee paid to you
within 7 days after the receipt of this notice by you, Also compensate
him with Rs. 1, 00, 000 for causing him losses in his career,
inconvenience, mental agony, and harassment.
4.If you fail to do so, we shall initiate severe action against you
seeking full refund with 18% pa interest higher compensation of Rs.
3, 00, 000. All action will be at your costs and risks, which please
note.
There is no such a responds or reply from MAAC ANIMATION and no
communication with me regarding that notice.
maac Institute are wasted my whole one year this whole episode in
frustrating and mentally disturbing. I am apporoching you which lot of
hope as my career as state and time is running out of hand
Please revert back and needful as soon as possible.sir plz i request
look into this matter and guide me what i have to do regarding this
Issue so i think about my future with free mind.

I SEND BELOW LETTER TO (Maya Academy of Advance Cinematics) INSTITUTEON 20/7
I, Sachin S Howal had enrolled for the course (AD 3D) in Maya Academyof Advance Cinematics, Andheri (W), Mumbai.in the month of Aug. 2008
In Aug. I had approbated Maya Academy, keen to enroll only for Maya &
Visiuals Effects Soft Ware, but their staff convinced me to join a
full course of AD3D which included Photoshop which I had already
completed from another Institute. At the time of admission they said
we will guide & help me and we will complete your course in one & half
year. But at this moment I think it will take 3 year to complete the
course. I went to them for guide and help they behave like they doing
there job free of cost, they gave me information as if they wear doing
a big favor with me.
I made a one time payment of Rs. 1, 78, 933 (One lac Seventy
eight Thousand Nine Hundred Thirty three Rupees.) without going for
installment. Till date that means in one year, I have just completed
pre-production and Photoshop which is no different course on the basis
of which I will get a job. This is meaning less & waste of time, money
and energy. The Pre-Production course was of 2 months which took 5
months to complete and there was nothing different in Photoshop as
promised to me. After that I gave my name for another software but
there is no batch start in 1 and half month they wasted my one and
half month, after that they give me batch whose 4-5 lecture were
already completed. At these course I found that a batch of 40 student
taught on projector. So student sitting in front near the teacher are
able to understand, as initially it was promised / convinced by staff
that student will be taught on computers. At the time of lecture every
student will have one computer.
So I told them I want to change my batch, but they told me there
will be no change. that time I had no option and I was helpless. I
purposely took break for getting another batch. After one months I had
given my name for max software for this next batch I had to wait for
one and half month more, after which I was given the next batch whose
also 4-5 lecture were completed. When enquired why I was not informed
about the starting date of the batch I got vague answers / replys.
They also denied the cover up sessions for the4-5 lecture
It’s been two and half months that I had given my name for editing and
VFX software, and I don't know how much time it will take. If I have
completed 2 courses (Per-Production & Photoshop) in 1 year period,
this whole process is frustrating, waste of time money & energy.
So I request you to refund my course fees. I hope do the needful & I
don’t find the need to take legal and press help
