Battery changed after servicing

I had given my Compaq Presario C785TU Laptop for formatting on 24th of September. After i received my laptop and brought it home i found that it is not getting charged. I found that the battery which was now there is not at all compatible with the laptop's configuration. But, the service center is not ready to except the fault.
