I am really very upset with the service and treatment that I am receiving for the last one and half year. I applied for a passport on 25-08 (File No. M 016738). I was expecting that Passport would be issued to me within a time frame of 2 months or 3 months on a worst side. However even after several months when Police verification was done, I didnt hear anything from your side.
Later, When I approached to Passport Office to inquire about the same, I was told by PRO that my File was transferred to a wrong Group (assigned to 'M' however it should have been 'A') and I was asked to meet people in 'M' group to get my file so that it can be transferred to 'A' group. When I approached there I found that my file was not there, even after the attendent searched all the files my file was not there. They then told me to visit again in few days and they will see again if file is there or not. After that day i made several visit to 'M' group but was not able to get my file.
After that I again meet PRO and she told me the same thing to get file from 'M' group. I told her that the file is not there but she never listened to me and told me to visit 'M' Group again. You may not be aware of the fact how one feels when he receives such an answer after standing 2 hours in queue and the officer there is not ready to talk even for 2 minutes..
I, then again went to 'M' Group and requested them to have a look again because PRO clearly told me that nothing can be done without the file. I had to go through the same process of visiting 'M' group 2-3 times for nothing.
When I again meet PRO and told her that the file has misplaced she said " I can't help you then, Get your File and then come to me."
Few days after, I received a letter stating me to meet PRO. This time fortunately or unfortunately a different officer was there, he listened to me and gave me resolution this time. He asked me to re-submit the documents along with an affidavit, although it was not my mistake I was ready to re-submit all those documents and I did and after a week or so when I again went to check the status the PRO who asked me to re-submit the document was not there and the one who never listened to me was there, I asked her about the status and told her that I have submitted the docs again she then clearly told me who asked you re-submit the docs, I told her that the PRO who was sitting on the seat last week she then told me go to him then.
How would I be knowing that who was sitting on the seat however I found him when I was about to leave from there. I spoke to him, he told me that he can't help me as he is not taking care of 'M' group but he asked me to see Dy. Passport Officer.
I went to Dy. Passport Officer with a written application. He then asked me to meet PRO again with an instruction on my application to transfer my file from 'M' to 'A'. when I again visit her to tell her that Dy. Passport Officer has asked you to get my file transfer from 'M' goup to 'A' goup. She straightway told me" ask him to do so then". I knew that it is useless to here and there, I directly went to 'M' group and handover the application with the instruction of Dy. Passport Officer to transfer file. They asked me to go to PRO but I replied them that I already had words with her and she is not ready to help, by that time people at 'M' group had starting recognizing me as I was visiting them regularly for the last 5-6 months. They took the application put it in my File and assured me that they will do the needful. Even after couple of months when Police verification was done, I didnt here anything from Passport Office, I was left with no option but to visit there again.
This time when I meet PRO she checked my file and gave me a new File number# A-042544/09 and told me not to visit her again (she was more than happy that she eventually got rid of mine) and asked me to PRO for 'A' group.
By that time I have lost my courage to meet a different PRO again, when I check the status of my Passport online with new file number (A-042544/09) it was showing that "Police report is clear, application under process". I thought might be this time it will be done but now its been more than a month and it is showing the same status. I dont want to meet any PRO now thats why I am writing this mail to you.
Even after One and half year, Two times I have submited the documents, Two times police verification, and so many harassment (sorry to use this word) I am not sure that you will issue me a passport and there are people in my office who are issued passport in just two days because they paid 6, 500 bucks I dont know whom but tell me why should I suffer so much.
Since, I applied for passport in August. Two batches of people from office sent abroad for training and both the times I could not get chance just because you didnt issue me passport. You might not be affected with this but you have played with my career.
Kindly look into the matter so that I may not miss the chance third time. please
