Dear Sir/Madam,
I'm filing this complaint against my landlord, Mithesh Joshi, for not returning my 13000/- which I paid as a deposit amount while leasing his flat 2 years back on 6th July. We were a group of 4 girls who collectively paid him 1 Lakh in total. I left the flat on 17th August in good condition and I was supposed to get my money back. As per the rules laid by Mithesh, any girl leaving the flat is supposed to provide a replacement girl and then the replacement needs to pay the per head deposit amount (25000) to the girl who is leaving.
I provided the replacement, Nidhi who was willing to pay me 25000. The landlord forcibly took the 25 check from her and after 3 months transferred 12000 in my account. I've been following up with him for my money for the past 6 months and he's saying he'll deposit the rest 13000 either today or tomorrow. Finally, he said there are no dues. I've left India 6 months back but my parents are there only and are in need of money. I tried calling Powai Police Station who asked me to go there physically and file a complaint which is virtually impossible.
If I call the landlord, he talks rudely, threatens me, abuses me and thrashes the phone. I'm in really tensed state and need help at this point. Kindly find the details that you might require :
