I am a resident of Magarpatta City since February. Every month I had been receiving electricity bills showing 0 units. After numerous complaints to the MSEDCL office within Magarpatta to check the meter, they finally send a person and replaced the meter in February. Since then I have been receiving bills in the range of 200 to 500 showing the meter status as "NORMAL". I had no problems for 2 years. Suddenly in May I received a bill of Rs 1, 21, 590/- for 15494 units. I immediately complained to the MSEDCL office head Mr Butte. After two weeks, they replaced the meter. They said they will send the old meter for testing and wait for the report. I asked them, what about the bill? They said if the meter testing reports says "Ok", then I would have to pay the entire bill along with the new meter charges. After two months, they said that the meter is tested Ok and I will have to pay the bill. I need guidance on what I should do next.
