SUB: Regarding bill No 7050002395, 7050002397 & 2055338322
Dear Sir / Madam,
This complaint is in continuation with the complaints I have already lodged with the MTNL earlier about wrong billing on Triband subscriber usage (Dated 17/02/09). After the complaint lodgment intermittently I have been able to contact Ms. Sharanjit Kaur about the bill (on phone & in person) I have been falsely billed Rs.3390.75 taxes – Jan 09 bill & Rs.2524.69 taxes – Feb 09 bill while after initial inquiries the authorities agreed with my claim I was still asked to pay Rs.500.00 for each months triband usage. This is despite the fact that one week after broadband had only worked for first 2 – 3 days after installation (complaint no 41100461).
This complaint was not resolved despite my calling up repeatedly. In fact each time I have taken leave from work to go personally to sanchaar head I have only been shunted from one place to another with no resolution of the problem.
Broadband activation was finally done on 7th March 09 by Ms. Sharanjit Kaur after which it worked for around a week (as per MTNL) was disconnected and reconnected for another week end for March asking me to settle my bills by paying Rs.500.00 per month for triband usage. I have repeatedly expressed my intension for paying my bill if a corrected bill is sent. I do not see why I should pay Rs.1000.00 towards a triband usage when broadband was not functional as the concerned MTNL authorities are in full knowledge of this fact.
I have again received a new bill 2055338322 where triband subscriber usage is billed at Rs.275.74 (MTNL had already disconnected my phone outgoing & broadband usage in March) still nothing has been done about the wrong billing in Jan / Feb 09 which rule in MTNL states that a bill plan Combo 250 wherein I was assured a minimum bill of Rs.250.00 inclusive of rent extra for the phone calls extra if triband usage is over the specified limit.
If there is such a rule I would like to be given written information about it along with a written assurance that my complaint will be given immediate attention and Rs.1000.00 be refunded to me immediately.
If MTNL cannot do that, I would prefer that the phone and internet connection be officially disconnected (in any case connection has been barred due to non payment of Jan 09 and Feb 09 bills) and I be refunded the initial installation amount Rs.516.00 paid by me in Jan09.
No one has ever bothered seriously in MTNL to resolve our issues and have only tried to force us pay the bill of service which was never provided to us in proper manner.
We had an MTNL phone 25074644 earlier with the same minimal usage broadband plan and have always been prompt in clearing our dues. Despite being a model customer I have faced enough mental harassment for choosing MTNL services. Request consumer forum to help me resolve this and ask MTNL to pay me for harrassment to me during my maternity period.
