To whoever this may read,
I just had a very disappointing ride with a Mumbai Gold Cab, and tried to submit a complaint by calling their call service, but they abruptly ended the call two times when they found out that I had a complaint. So much for serving customers.
I am a foreigner staying in Mumbai, and when arriving at the airport I often have problems finding a taxi that is willing to bring me home without having the need to cheat or spend much time discussing the price.
For that reason, I am using the ¨registered¨ taxi lane at the domestic airport, only this time a Gold Cab turned up instead of a Meru. This guy was not willing to switch on the meter, and when I told him that I would not pay him anything without a meter, he decided that then the money should come in another way and he used an awful detour and wasted my time.
I will never take one of these (rather dirty) gold cabs anymore and I advise you all to do the same. Better wait for a Meru. I don´t care about spending a few rupees, but I hate to waste another half hour in traffic because this lousy driver thinks that because I am white, I am a stranger to the city.
