Dear Sir,
Today (03/07; 9:45AM), I hired a cab from Lokaman Tilak Terminus (LTT) to Khanda Colony (Khandeshwar) - New Panvel, Navi Mumbai which is approximately 34 Km.
In the taxi apart from me other two people who were travelling were driver and his friend.
Taxi number is MMO-C-95. I was told that the meter reading is 34 and therefore as
Per rate card I have to pay Rs 722.
I have following complains against the driver and his friend:
1) They charged me more than what they should have had charged me. Beside, in the past I have travelled from Khandeshwar to Parel and I was charged only Rs 550 by Meru Taxi (A/C Taxi) which I feel was justified.
Also, when I travelled from Khandeshwar to Vile Parle (which is farther than Kurla), using Meru Taxi (A/C Taxi) I was charged Rs 630 (approx).
2) I paid them Rs 722 with the break up 1 X Rs 500 2 X Rs 100 2 X Rs 10 Rs 2. The driver’s friend flipped Rs 500 note with Rs 100 note and asked me to pay more.
3) When I asked for receipt they refused to give it to me. I feel for every such services receipt should be produced at request and otherwise too.
When I resisted, they started a fight.
I request you to register my complaint against the taxi driver and his friend and also, to get my money back (Rs 400 = Rs 500 – Rs 100) and also the excess fare that I paid.
Thanks,
Amiya Shrivastava
