To start with I am a resident of Pattalamma layout in Kadugudi, B'lore - 67. There are 3 community halls in our layout (all belonging to one person Mr. Shankarappa) It has been a nightmare for us whenever there is a wedding in the hall right opposite to our house because of the orchestra and subsequently the noise of the wedding band which most of the time is in the early hours of the day. As a result of the above we cannot sleep which sometimes happens for consecutive days happened on 13, 14 & 15th June. I have no clue as to who might have given him permission to construct community halls in residential area and that too three of them all with in 100mts of each other. This apart the leftover food from the weddings/functions is dumped right next to the hall which would be facing my residence resulting in stench and attracting pigs and scavengers. At this time of swine flu and contagious diseases doing the rounds across the world this is not a good scene at all anytime. Adding to that because of no proper drainage facility all the dirt from the surrounding area is stagnated right in front of our house. I am unable to describe the stench the emanates from this which is now become a breeding ground for pigs and mosquitoes. I have also called Bangalore Mirror to cover it up on the 15th June which was covered by their reporters (Ms. Shaswathi and Photographer Mr. Vinesh). However the article is yet to be published since I am unable to reach them on their phones. I am attaching some photos which would explain the status of the area. However I would greatly appreciate if some one responsible from the Government takes an initiative and personally visits the area to know how it feels like to stay here. Hoping that some action is taken with immediate effect I remain.
