Lost Mobile Phone - Tracing

Hi

I have purchased Nokia 6208C three months back. I lost the phone at HMT Nagar Bus Stop, Nacharam two days back. I like to know the procedure to trace the mobile instument I lost. If its not possible, is it possible to deactivate the instrument. The IMEI no is 356872023416706.
