Kind Attention Sir/Madam,

Kindly note that I had purchased “NOKIA handset 5310 Xpress Music” from Kanpur on the 12.12.2007. Soon after the purchase, I had a problem with the camera of my phone. Whenever I used to switch on my camera, it used to show CAMERA ON STANDBY MODE and at the same time the BATTERY OF MY PHONE WOULD DISCHARGE VERY QUICKLY. In idle state the phone would show low battery in appx. 10 hours. The reason for buying the phone was the long 22 hour playback music battery backup which proved to be false.

With the same problem, I gave my handset at the APEX NOKIA authorized service centre at Somdutt Plaza, Kanpur on the 18th of January. As per the desk occupiers of the service centre my handset had gone to the company for repair (i.e. Lucknow – as told by the service centre people). The set was in the customer care for appx. 2 weeks and was delivered to me in the first week of February with camera in a working condition. But as time passed by, I encountered the same problem in my handset within a week from delivery of handset. So I deposited the handset at the same service centre on the 15th February whose job sheet number is 034343506/080216/36. Till today, i.e. 19th April I haven’t received my handset. I am very dissatisfied with the service carried out on my phone. For the same reason I am not looking forward to collect my handset from the service centre and want my FULL MONEY REFUNDED as paid by me during the time of purchase. Else I would like to file a case in the CONSUMER COURT against NOKIA INDIA Pvt. Ltd for cheating upon its customers by publicising wrong information about the battery back-up and distributing defective handsets in the market

As a matter of fact, even after shelling Rs. 10, 600.00 from my pocket, I have been able to use the handset in proper condition for less than 1 month.

Also I want inconvenience compensation for making me visit the service centre for innumerable times and also calling the customer service again and again. Because my phone was new and I expected a reputed company like Nokia to solve this problem early, I couldn’t even buy a new handset and because of same I suffered huge losses in my business and personal affairs.

Also I need a compensation for the mental torture and frustration for every time I visited the service centre.

Kindly note, I don’t want replacement of handset because my 5 yrs faith in NOKIA handsets has been lost and I don’t wish to continue with any NOKIA handsets further.

P.S. i have spoken to the company representatives in gurgaon and also calcutta about the matter who diverted the problem to the UP cordinator who hasnt done anything regarding the same.
