Friend request can not b sent

I can not add friends on orkut, this is second time when i try to send Invitation orkut shows "Sending Invitation" but ultimately it's not providing any message, that the invitation succeed or not. After that when i re-open the same friends profile, shows as before "Add as Friend" finally it totally clear that the invitation is not delivered.

Plz.. do help...
