Forcing me to write middle name as father name

Espected sir/madam,

i am a north-indian and always write my name as"TUSHARIKA SINGH" without having middle name (as i don't have any).in PAN CARD form too i had written the same name and in father's name block i have written my father's name.i am living in pune.when i went to back to submit form they said its necessary to write my middle name as my father's name and his middle name as his father's middle name..but i have seen my father's PAN CARD .there was nothing like that... plss tell me is it necessary to write middle name as father's name.
