I had applied but acknoweldgement is missing

Sir,

my name is tulasi. ramu. I had applied for pan card around 15th of feb. they gave me acknowledgement card. but unfortunatly i lost it. now i didnt got my pan card. now what shold i do? Is my pan number is alloted are not? how i should know?
